The Sustainable Development Network (SDN) provides opportunities for members to collaborate on sustainable property developments. At our quarterly meetings, property developers, lenders, architects, agents and other industry professionals make connections and embark on shared projects.
The SDN also offers members opportunities to improve their knowledge of green development materials, techniques and processes. At each meeting, we host expert speakers who give a presentation on some aspect of sustainability. These talks are usually followed by lively debates and group discussions.

About
While the government’s Future Homes Standard requires a 75% reduction in carbon emissions from new build homes by 2025, progress on sustainability in the residential development industry has been slow.
SME developers are receiving little practical support to change the way they build and are often left to conduct their own research into the practicalities of sustainable development.
To address this issue, Mackenzie Byrne launched the inaugural SDN breakfast meeting in London in April 2022. Since then, the network has gone from strength to strength and is now co-hosted by OSG Architecture. Quarterly meetings are held in London and Kent and further plans have been made to expand the network to other parts of the country, allowing industry professionals from across the UK to learn about sustainable development practices and collaborate on projects.
